> ImageScan’s Core Platform
All of ImageScan’s solutions are based on our exclusive and innovative core imaging and workflow management platform. This system has been developed, deployed, and refined over more than a decade, with input and feedback from many of the largest U.S. banks who rely on RemitTrac® for processing billions of dollars of transactions every business day.

The bottom line: RemitTrac® helps you maximize transaction-processing efficiency while reducing errors, costs, and manual labor. Here’s how it works:
-
Scan and image all forms of paper documents at high speed. Multiple types of scanners can co-exist on the same system to handle differing volumes or the full variety of paper and document types. Scanning can be done either at the point at which the payment transaction first arrives, a key way to eliminate paper handling, or it can be done at a centralized site; you decide.
-
Data from certain fields on the documents is read using Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) which pre-populates the fields with a high degree of accuracy. Where data is missing or cannot be interpreted, RemitTrac®'s workflow automation tools assist in efficient completion of the data-extraction process. The solution can be fine-tuned with easy point-and-click steps so you can make your own changes to forms. This combination of features provides industry-leading productivity and ease of use.
-
Extracted data is validated via a series of user-defined business rules incorporating match tables (e.g. stop file or positive file), data lookup and retrieval, and check digits.
-
The workflow engine ensures the workload is distributed to operators as they become available.
-
Operators are prompted to correct data for fields that have not been accurately captured by the ICR engines.
-
Batch totals are then calculated and verified. Exception documents are automatically identified and highlighted for easy handling.
-
Checks can be encoded or transmitted electronically via a Check 21 process.
-
Payment information is ready to transmit directly to the paying bank, or through a clearing house or the Federal Reserve.
-
Document images can be made available to other systems for remote web access or archiving.
-
Detailed reports then describe the completed work and highlight operator productivity for future reference.
-
All work can be done in a distributed environment but with controls and policies strictly administered from a centrally managed site, or at the central site under close supervision – the choice is yours.
-
Applications and hardware can be shared so that multiple ImageScan solutions can be run on the same hardware, leveraging your investment to the fullest extent.
